How Poshmark fees work

CanadaUnder C$20: flat C$3.95C$20 or more: 20% (+ GST/HST on the fee)None

Poshmark’s fee is the only deduction on a normal sale. Shipping is paid by the buyer at a flat rate for a label covering up to 5 lb; heavier packages need an upgrade you pay for, and from 26 October 2026 the extra postage on an un-upgraded overweight package is taken from your earnings automatically. Sellers in Texas also pay a state tax on Poshmark’s fee, which Poshmark does not quantify on the page.

Worked examples

A $12 top: flat $2.95 fee, you keep $9.05 (75%). A $45 dress: 20% is $9.00, you keep $36.00. A $45 dress that weighs 7 lb with the box: $9.00 fee plus a $5.00 label upgrade, you keep $31.00. In Canada, a C$45 dress pays C$9.00 plus GST/HST on that C$9.00, so a seller in Ontario (13% HST) keeps C$34.83.

Canadian sellers

Choose Canada in the calculator: it switches to Canadian dollars, the C$20 threshold and the C$3.95 flat fee. GST/HST on Poshmark’s fee depends on your province and is not included, so subtract it yourself (13% of the fee in Ontario, for example).

Questions sellers ask

How much does Poshmark take?
On Poshmark's Fee Policy (version 1.7, effective 25 November 2024): a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% on sales of $15 and above, so you keep 80%. Listing is free and there is no separate payment-processing fee. A $15.00 sale is in the 20% band.
Does the buyer or the seller pay shipping?
The buyer pays a flat shipping fee for a USPS Ground Advantage label covering up to 5 lb per order. If your package weighs more, you buy a label upgrade: $5.00 for 5.01 to 10 lb and $10.00 for 10.01 to 15 lb. Since 26 October 2026, overweight packages shipped without an upgrade have the extra postage deducted from your earnings.
What about Poshmark Canada?
Poshmark Canada's Fee Policy (version 1.0, effective 18 December 2023) takes a flat C$3.95 on sales under C$20 and 20% on sales of C$20 or more, and GST/HST is charged on the fee at your province's rate. Canadian label prices and upgrade fees are not published on a page we could read, so they are not in the calculator.
Is there a Poshmark Australia calculator?
No. Poshmark's Australian marketplace has closed; Poshmark states it is available only in the United States and Canada.
When do I get paid?
Funds are released within three days of delivery, once the buyer accepts the order or the 72-hour window to open a case passes.
What was the short-lived buyer protection fee?
Between 3 and 24 October 2024 Poshmark charged both sides a fixed fee plus 5.99% of the order total. It reverted to the original 20% and $2.95 structure on 24 October 2024 and removed the buyer protection fee; the calculator uses the current structure.
