How Grailed fees work
| Fee | Rate | Base |
|---|---|---|
| Commission, sale price $120 and above | 9% | listing price (+ shipping you charge if no Grailed Label) |
| Commission, sale price under $120 | 6%, minimum $1.99 | same |
| Processing, onboarded to Stripe, US domestic | 3.49% + $0.49 | transaction total |
| Processing, onboarded, international payment | 4.99% + $0.49 | transaction total |
| Processing, not onboarded | 3.49% + $0.99 domestic; 5.49% + $0.99 international | transaction total |
Worked example
A pair of boots sells for $95 with a Grailed Label to a US buyer. The sale price is under $120, so the commission is 6% of $95, or $5.70 (above the $1.99 minimum). Processing is 3.49% of $95 plus $0.49, or $3.81. Total fees $9.51; payout $85.49. At $120 the commission band jumps to 9%, so a $119 sale pays $7.14 in commission while a $120 sale pays $10.80.
Refunds
Fees are returned automatically on a full refund unless the refund is for a lost claim.
Questions sellers ask
- What is Grailed's commission?
- 9% of the sale price for sales of $120 and above, and 6% with a minimum of $1.99 for sales under $120, for sales on or after 20 May 2026. Buyers pay no Grailed fee.
- What counts as the sale price?
- The listing price plus any shipping you charge the buyer if you are not using a Grailed Label; the listing price only if you ship with a Grailed Label, because then the buyer pays the label directly.
- What is the payment processing fee?
- Grailed processes payments through Stripe. Sellers onboarded to Stripe pay 3.49% plus $0.49 on US domestic payments and 4.99% plus $0.49 on international payments. Sellers eligible for Stripe but not yet onboarded pay 3.49% or 5.49% plus $0.99. Grailed's current pages publish no PayPal rate.
- How much does Grailed take from a $200 sale?
- For a US buyer and an onboarded seller: 9% commission ($18.00) plus 3.49% of $200 plus $0.49 ($7.47), a total of $25.47, leaving $174.53.
- Do international sellers pay more?
- Grailed says it does not charge international sellers a higher fee; what changes is the processing rate on international payments and a longer payout time of up to 10 business days.
